Welcome to the Anglemog website

The East Anglian Centre (Anglemog) has been established for more than thirty years. Officially it has a catchment area covering a 40 mile radius of Witham, but in practice we have regular attendees from as far afield as Suffolk, Norfolk, Kent, Hertfordshire and Cambridge and over 60 people regularly attend Anglemog events.

Any member of the MSCC can attend any Centre meeting/event and anyone attending our events is given a very warm welcome. We do not charge any additional subscription fees relating to our Centre; we just ask that you come along and enjoy yourselves with like-minded people.

We have on average of 40 people attending our regular evening meetings (known in Morgan terms as "noggins") and our traditional New Years Day lunchtime noggin usually attracts around 65 people. We have an active committee which compiles the annual programme of events, based on members' views expressed at our Annual General Meeting, held in November. The events include pub visits, speciality events, rallies, car shows, scenic runs, racing events, an annual trip away, either in the UK or Europe, a weekend away in the autumn and our Christmas dinner & dance (sometimes held in January!).

Within striking distance of London, Essex has the longest coastline of any English county and an abundance of picturesque villages set in rolling hills, river meadows and woodlands. Venture off the A12 and there are delightful winding roads just built for Morgan driving with plenty of opportunities to stop at pretty village pubs offering good food and ale.

We meet on the second Wednesday evening of every month at the Regiment Way Golf Centre, Back Lane, Little Waltham, Chelmsford CM3 3PR. People arrive from about 7.15pm onwards and bar meals are available up until 8.30pm; please check the Diary of Events as meeting dates can change. Other events are publicised monthly at the end of the Anglemog Centre report in Miscellany and on the Diary of Events page.
So, to all MSCC members out there, whether from the UK or abroad, if you are visiting our area, why not come along and meet us - you can be assured of a warm welcome.

Happy Morganeering
